Each year, Natan members pool their charitable contributions and make all of Natan's funding decisions collectively.

Natan supports entrepreneurial organizations that demonstrate an innovative approach to addressing the challenges facing Jews around the world.

Natan is currently making grants in five program areas:

• Advancing Inclusiveness in the North American Jewish Community
• Economic Development in Israel
• Economic Empowerment of Jews in the Diaspora (2009-10: Ukraine)
• Emergent Jewish Communities in North America and Israel
• Israel-Diaspora Relations

Natan also offers grants for Mezzanine Funding & Capacity Building to longtime grantees that have grown beyond the startup phase, and every year the Natan board invites a select number of additional organizations to apply for Board Discretionary Grants.
