Nishmah: The St. Louis Jewish Women's Project
Nishmah is an independent not-for-profit organization founded in 2005. Nishmah works in tandem with existing institutions, but also serves as a trans-insitutional, pluralist avenue for girls and women to become more engaged in Jewish life. Through Nishmah, girls and women have developed deeper connections with Jewish tradition, strengthened their leadership skills and built strong relationships with each other. Natan's grant is supporting Nishmah's Banot Buddies program, which joins elementary and high school girls together for mentoring, Jewish enrichment and community service projects.
Nishmah enriches the lives of girls and women from across the spectrum of the St. Louis Jewish community through educational, spiritual and social programming.
