Keshet
Since 2001, Keshet has offered gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) Jews avenues for connection to Jewish identity and community, and has worked to put GLBT inclusion at the forefront of the Jewish communal agenda. In 2006, Natan supported the creation of a curriculum guide for Keshet's documentary film, Hineini: Coming Out in a Jewish High School. The widespread success of that film propelled the organization into the national arena. Natan's 2009 grant is for general operating support, to strengthen Keshet's organizational core as it meets the challenges of national expansion.
Under the leadership of executive director Idit Klein, Keshet offers trainings, resources, and consultations to Jewish educators, youth professionals and lay leaders, and it provides technical assistance to emerging local GLBT groups around the country.
