Footsteps

Footsteps
Founded in late 2003 by Malkie Schwartz, Footsteps provides educational, vocational, social and emotional support to Jews who have left the insular ultra-Orthodox communities in which they were raised, and who are trying to acclimate to the modern, secular world.

Natan's grant supports the "Footsteps Space," a drop-in center and hub for the organization's programs, as well as an internship program for participants who are ready to explore the secular workplace. In addition to the many economic and social skills that participants learn through interacting with the organization's staff and board members, the drop-in center also features a computer lab with Internet access and online GED and vocational training courses
