Citizen Film, Inc.
Citizen Film's newest film, Joann Sfar Draws from Memory, is a documentary about Joann Sfar, one of the world's most popular graphic novelists. Sfar is a French Jew of Algerian heritage who transmutes North African Jewish history and culture into best-selling graphic novels, including The Rabbi's Cat (2005). The film will be shown on public television in France and Germany, and an English-language version will come to the U.S. Natan's grant will support the educational outreach program for the film, which will be targeted to American high school students and Jewish educational institutions.
Since 2002, Citizen Film, Inc. and its founder, filmmaker Sam Ball, have produced more than thirty films promoting tolerance, inclusiveness and social justice.
