UnistreamFounded in 2001, Unistream offers opportunities for outstanding Israeli youth in underprivileged communities to learn business and leadership skills and social responsibility. Unistream is developing its young people into a cadre of socially conscious business leaders, preparing them to engage with the challenges of the business and hi-tech sectors, while promoting values of democracy, equality, and community service. Each year, a new cohort of about 25 10th graders begins the three-year program at each of Unistream's centers around Israel, where they will create and operate their own businesses and community service projects. Unistream's centers also serve as study and computer centers, and sites for tutoring, lectures, and mentoring by Unistream's staff and team of volunteers. Natan's grants support the Unistream center in Ma'alot-Tarshiha, in the North of Israel, where Unistream has been working with groups of Jewish and Arab-Israeli youth since 2005. |
