Tech-CareersFounded in 2003 by Asher Elias, an Ethiopian Israeli, and Glenn Stein, an American immigrant to Israel, Tech-Careers provides computer training and job placement in the hi-tech industry for young Ethiopian Israel adults, catapulting them out of poverty into entry-level positions in one of Israel's most sought-after industries. Almost every member of the first three cohorts of graduates is now employed in the hi-tech industry. Natan's most recent grants have provided both operating support to the organization as well as an organizational consultant to enable the organization's founders to create a sustainable infrastructure and organizational model for the coming years. |
