Table to TableTable to Table collects food from suppliers who would otherwise discard it and distributes it to non-profit organizations, who in turn distribute it to the hungry throughout Israel. Modeled on New York's City Harvest, Table to Table's main organizational goals are to increase social responsibility through food redistribution and to heighten awareness of issues relating to food and hunger in Israel. Natan has supported the organization since its inception, most recently through grants to create and sustain The Sderot Project, through which Table to Table purchases food from commercial enterprises in the beleaguered town of Sderot and redistributes it to agencies feeding the hungry in Sderot and environs. The Sderot Project provides hands-on assistance to a city that is under daily threat and is on the verge of economic collapse.
