Kol Ha-Isha: the Jerusalem Women's CenterKol Ha-Isha, founded in 1994, seeks to develop and promote a multicultural feminist model of social change, addressing social and economic inequalities in Israel that disproportionately affect women. Natan's grant has supported the "Women Entering the Workforce" project, which takes the organization's multicultural mission of women's social economic rights and social justice a step further by giving women the tools and personal empowerment to control their lives and work towards economic indepdendence and social mobility. In particular, Natan's grant has enabled the organization to bring the project to ultra-Orthodox Jewish women living on welfare in Jerusalem, Israel's poorest large city. |
