Economic Empowerment for WomenEconomic Empowerment for Women (EEW) improves women's lives in Israel through economic empowerment. It supplies low-income women with the knowledge and tools to create their own small businesses, as a means for gaining self-sufficiency and alleviating the cycle of poverty in which they are enmeshed. In 2007-8, Natan is supporting a new pilot program that involves the development of two Business Incubators in Haifa and in the Galilee that will provide intensive business and personal support to 70 low-income women in the beginning stages of their businesses. Based on the results of the two-year pilot, EEW plans to replicate the program throughout Israel.
