Mechon Hadar
Mechon Hadar is a natural outgrowth of the success of Kehilat Hadar, an independent, egalitarian, Jewish community dedicated to spirited traditional prayer, study and social action, located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
Mechon Hadar aims to leverage the success of Kehilat Hadar through an intensive summer study program targeted to leaders of similar emergent Jewish communities nationwide, and through consulting both to other emergent communities and to "established" synagogues looking to replicate Hadar's success in engaging young Jews.
Natan's board grants have supported Mechon Hadar's operating expenses in its first two years.
