Kavana Cooperative

Founded in 2006 in Seattle, Kavana offers a new model for emergent Jewish communities: it is the first Jewish cooperative community of its kind, in which "partners" share in the task of creating a diverse and exciting Jewish life for the group while also utilizing the group's resources for their personal Jewish development.

In its short life to date, Kavana has experienced extraordinary success in reaching young Seattle Jews whose needs are not being met by traditional institutions. Natan is supporting Kavana through a challenge grant to increase contributions from members and local supporters.
