Downtown Arts Development

Michael Dorf, the founder of the Knitting Factory, created Downtown Arts Development as a vehicle for creating, developing, and producing unique and compelling artistic programming that appeals to a wide demographic audience.

DAD produces two annual Jewish-based events each year: the downtown Seder (now one of the most unique tickets in New York), and the much larger, ten-day Oy!hoo Festival, which Natan supports, and which features the New York Jewish Music & Heritage Festival and the Sidney Krum Jewish Cultural Conference.
